Improve Guest Experience with 1 Simple Practice

Hi

Tell your servers when they get within 10 feet of a guest tell them to smile and make eye contact. When they get within 4 feet give the guest a verbal greeting. The whole energy and atmosphere on the restaurant will go up.

A really really important benefit is if a guest has an issue (something wrong with order, wants another drink, the check, etc.) they usually try to make eye contact with the server to get what they need. The worst thing if you are a Guest and can't get anyone's attention. I have actually got out of my seat to find someone who can help me.
